Letter from the MORs
Hello!
Our names are Ricky Waite and Nancy Martinez, and we are your Masters of Rituals (MORs). We are so excited to announce that Alpha Kappa Psi will be kicking off Spring Rush, and we hope to see you at all of our events during Rush Week from 10/1 - 10/4! Bring your best energy to every event, get to know all of our amazing brothers, and learn about the many initiatives our fraternity spearheads. From personal experience, we know that Rush Week can be overwhelming at times, but don’t worry, we are only here to get to know you a little better and help you learn more about us. Be sure to remember that the real fun doesn’t start until you make it to pledging.
We have compiled a resource guide to help you navigate this packed week. Below you can find our Facebook page, containing each Rush Week event, Current Member Directory (for some light stalking), the Rush Buddy Signup Form, and many other resources. Be sure to check out every resource in order to learn as much information as you can about AKPsi before rush week officially begins. Make sure to also follow our Instagram, FaceBook, and TikTok pages to see regular updates on all things rush, brothers, and more! We are so excited to meet you all.
Your MORs,
Nancy Martinez & Ricky Waite
REQUIREMENTS
You are required to attend 1 information session and 1 additional event (non-info-sessions) as well as submit a written application to complete your application process. If you are unable to meet the event requirements, please reach out to Nancy and Ricky at akpsibetaepsilon@gmail.com and we will work out a solution. All event times listed below are in Chicago local time (CT). Dress code is casual for all events, but business casual is encouraged for the Resume Review.
ACCOMMODATIONS
AKPsi seeks to create and promote an inclusive and welcoming environment. We encourage applicants who self-identify as an individual with a disability to reach out to Nancy and Ricky, our MORs (Co-Heads of Recruitment), about the application process and accommodations you may need. We would be more than happy to work with you!
MEMBER REPORTING
If you had a bad experience with a brother — they made you feel uncomfortable or acted inappropriately — at any time throughout Rush, please fill out the Member Reporting Form. The only brothers who will see the responses will be Zach Sharp (VP of Diversity & Inclusion), Nancy Martinez, and Ricky Waite. Should the brother in question be one of those three individuals, we have an alternative form that will only be seen by Yujini Son (President) and Geo Yoo (VP of Administration). Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Nancy Martinez and Ricky Waite at akpsibetaepsilon@gmail.com.
