Dougan scholars also came together to host a Dougan Scholars Application Prep Session where brothers had individualized time to consult older members about their experiences and to answer any questions about the process.

Additionally, ProCom put together a BCG Case Workshop featuring recent alumnae Lilly Guo and Anne Wang. For graduating brothers, there was a GMAT 101 with Manhattan Prep. In the near future, there will also be a Webinar with Columbia Business School and site visits to William Blair and Goldman Sachs.

Service News

This quarter, Alpha Kappa Psi’s Service Committee has put together many events to give back to the community. First, we made care packages for the Security Guards stationed around campus to help prepare for the cold nights, and to give thanks for the service they provide to us as students. We also have volunteers help out weekly at 61st St Farmers Market. Another notable program is the Business Closet, in which we take donations of business professional clothing items, that can later be donated to those that are in need of them. Finally, many brothers joined the Bone Marrow Donor Registry during the SWAB for a Cure event, organized by one of our very own brothers, Justine Laufer.

Diversity & Inclusion

Alpha Kappa Psi has created a new Diversity & Inclusion committee, headed by brother Josselyn Navas! During this quarter's rush cycle, a few brothers talked in an open panel about their experiences navigating past internships as they related to their identities. During week 6, brothers visited the National Museum of Mexican Art and sat down with the owners of the Puerto Rican Jibarito Stop for a chat about challenges being a minority entrepreneurship. The committee will further focus on community service in several of Chicago's cultural hotspots as well as professional involvement with minority groups at the university.
